• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Perry Mt. 24 hour Challenge

:applause: Kewl, that pretty good results
Are there pic's??? ride report coming?? How'd the bike hold up. I eat this stuff up :D

How did Clint Pherrigo from Hall's Cycles do? I know he was there on a WR 300 doing the Ironman...any news?

Had a great time at the Perry Mt. 24hr. The conditions were perfect, no dust and great traction in a mix of sand, loam, and tacky clay. Pretty sore and still tired. I road the bike for a total of 21 hours. I took my 1st break at 11:00 p.m for 2 hours and another around 04:30. The Husky worked flawlessly the entire event, I had the best bike with the best equipment for this event,
Thanks

And remember he did this after doing 240 miles of ISDE Qualifier in Idaho the weekend before and posting times that would get him close to making the US ISDE team list to choose from. :notworthy: The Idaho City ISDE Qualifier was littered with DNF's from the heat.

"I rode 354 miles (32 laps) and was on the bike for a total of 21 hours. I took a 1st in 40+ Ironman and a 4th O.A. in all ironman classes combined."

Amazing effort Scott.

Scott is a great guy and friend, glad to see him doing so well. I used to feel we were similar in speed, not anymore, he got faster and I got lazy :D he has put major effort into racing and is doing well. Motosportz is glad to help out where we can.

Hell yeh.....

You gotta be proud of him, Kel.

He's representng yer Clan up there in grand fashion.

Takin' them whipper-snappers to school too!

:busted:

Outstanding Scott! :applause:

I keep thinking there should be some way of memorializing these outstanding achievements on Cafe Husky. I'll try to think of something. If nothing else then possibly a link to a thread like this on the Cafe Husky calender might be good - I'll do that and see how that works.

EDIT - that seems to work and that event should stay on the calender forever, no guarantees though cause I'm still working things like that out.
