  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st Part it, or sell it?

I'm looking at going to another brand, which you think would be better to do with my bike, part it out or sell it ?

I parted a nice YZ250F years ago and almost doubled the selling price but be prepared to spend alot of time at it, works fine if you can hang on the computor all day and have a knack for shipping. Engines sell pretty fast and at a premium, wheels go first, then suspension, brake parts, ignitions sell quick as well as carbs, swingarms, then all the many little parts. My next parted bike will be a Huskie w/NJ title.

If you decide to part it please PM me, as I'm just starting to bring a 2002 WR250 back from the dead. I'm sure I'd be in the market to take quite a few parts off your hands.

I thinking the same thing with my 09 300. Either sell it cheap as is, put a bunch of new stuff on & hope it sells or just part it out. I want a WR125 b4 they're all gone.

Wait until I move and have more garage space people!

A second roller to make a permanent home for a 360...mmm, yeah.

keith try to sell. if you dont get what you want part out. call me with parts i am restoring another 02 cr 250 this will be my 8 cr redone.

What would this be worth? Just replated the cylinder and put in a 6 speed.

It is plated. It actually has the lights on it right now, with a PC pipe and silencer. It has a CR ignition on it, but I do have the WR ignition also, as well as the pictured pipe.

It's more about finding right buyer who understands, appreciates and can put solid value on those upgrades. But more importantly, does not want to do the upgrades himself. Also, one who understands that repairs will be more complicated because of such a mix.

IMHO, I would ask for $5 but as I recently bought my bike and relatively familiar with prices..$4k is more likely but will still be difficult.

i spoke with a guy who does this for a living . bike like yours keep whole.yes you could sell parts well but you will have parts left over.your bike is well sorted keep together sell between 4/5 to somebody who will appreciate.unless you need money sit on it until sold. or keep until you get the husky bug again.
