• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Yep, Paril is past Baliang ... Paril is a small BRGY a few CLKs from me ... Great ride there and once U arrive, Cebu City, Consolacion (back to National HiWay) , Guba, Taliban, Danao (2 ways, one easy, one very cool) ... 99% of everything here is open for riding everyday ...

Basketball court along the way ... it is made into the road and a very common practice here

Small creek running through a village .. Looks ridable from here ...

Water fall from the creek .. it probably drops 20' off the end of that rock waterway .... I asked one of the guys there if the water got over the bridge there and he said no ..But it was to be quite a sight seeing 4-5' deep water running through that section of the creek

Road changes again to another fast section

This street post was really out of place as there is no $ for such an item in the providences ... It was really a monument to someones' grandfather

The words engraved in cement ...

Not sure what this is but it looks like a big big cooking pit
GEDC0665.JPG

Looks like a small volcano with its top blown ... there are some structures on top so there must be a trail up to the top ....

Rooster homes and a few are sitting outside the huts on wooden stands ... That looks like someone is raising and selling the birds ... New barbed wire looks unusually ... many many over there have the fighting cocks and if U see a big crowd over here, it is most likely a cock fight ... the kids are always gad to see bike riders come through ... and every biking move is a crowd pleaser ...
