  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Paper Back Manual, Not a USB

Connor

AA Class
Okay guys im having a problem that I'm hoping you all might have an answer for. I bought a '12 txc310 and of course it only has the USB manual. I hate the idea personally and now my USB wont open the "start" section (where the husky logo is right beside of it). It usually opens up to a red screen and you have a few choices of areas to choose from, but i can no longer get into that screen, its just a blank red screen. So im hoping someone has a a way to get a paper back manual.

To get a paper version, copy to computer then print. Better yet, get the workshop manual from your dealer, its much more informative than the thumb drive.

There's a thread on this site that was specifically for workshop manuals. I would think there should be one out for your bike. Just locate the
file, save in Adobe Reader, then you can print it out. Just make sure you've got plenty of ink and paper.

Parts and workshop manual...There is a link to lots of different manual sites over in 2-stroke under the 'index'
Thought I'd save you the trouble and just post a link to website for what you're looking for...It is frustrating.

I downloaded the same manual for our '12 TXC250 and edited out the pages that were of no use, printed, 3-hole punched and now have a good shop book. Pain in the a**, but I'm over it now and it's nice to have. Just make sure to select the correct year and model, Good luck.

Well here's my problem. I thought of just printing it out. However, i didn't want to use up all of my ink so i decided i would go to staples and have them print everything out and 3 hole punch it and save it all in a 3 ring binder, butttt when i got there their computers couldn't open anything on the flash drive. I don't know why and neither did they, but i took it back home and went to open it back up on my computer and just save the section i needed and copy and paste it into a word doc (on their recommendation) and when i went to reopen everything it won't open now? I have no idea why not. I think something happened to the files at Staples cause i used it right before i went (so would know what pages i needed copied, they were like 54-111 i think) and than at Staples, and than came right back home. So now no more manual and i don't know why :banghead: I would really appreciate it if someone could post a link to where i can order a paper back shop manual (as that is what i really need). I am also going to ask my dealer about it tomorrow.

It is frustrating, but don't sweat the small stuff, just work thru it.

Life's too short to let the digital stuff give us grief.

If for some reason the link I gave you isn't what you were looking for jump over to the 2 stroke index, there must be 4 or 5 different sites to check out.

Again, good luck!
