• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

P3...what is the story?

Hey All

I ordered a skid plate from P3 over 60days ago and have not yet received the product. I contacted Eric a month ago and he said it would be done shortly. I have now sent two more emails with no response. Are these guys usually this slow or is this going to be another case of me kissing my money good-bye because of someone going out of business?

Try calling Eric again. If you don't reach him right away, call back in 10 minutes or so. Many of us are one man shows and sometimes can't get to the phone in time.

I have sent him two emails this week. and paid in full 60 days ago. I think my part as the customer has been more the adequate.

I have no issues when small companies get busy and take a little longer to get product out the door. But come on......

I don't want to bash them on a forum until I get the full story so I will bite my tongue for now and see what happens.

Well timing is everything....after 60 days of waiting I start a thread on CH and I just get the email that my part is being sent out tomorrow. :applause:

If for some reason you do get it I will stop by his place and inquire about it. They are good people. He makes these parts in his garage,so it may take him awhile. I run there skid plate on my 310 and love it.

Yeah he seemed like a good guy....but I was getting frustrated. With exchange, shippping yadda yadda yadda that skid plate cost me almost $300 CDN. It better make me soooo much faster

Eric has been a little overwhelmed by Husky parts demand. Lindsay has made more molds for Eric, so production can be increased. These are beautiful handcrafted parts and takes more time than you think. My '09 WR125 skidplate is a work of art. It will be worth the wait. Great people, great product.
