  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I geared down my husky 144 so it rips through the tight stuff a little easier.
12 x 49 .. I had them so I figured I would use them ....
Of course you blow through the gears easier.
it seems jetted about right maybe a bit rich ...
when on the pipe it sounds like a 2t should
When I get into the over rev it has this raspy lean sound.
so I'm wondering if it is a lean condition or if its just
what a 2t does when you blow out the other side of the power band at wfo??
I'm running a pretty fat main jet as it is (450) (08 cr)and the 144 mod was done to run pump gas.

have you tried a 460 main yet? i was running a 470 main w/my 144, felt great but i just leaned everything out this past weekend to see how she felt in the warmer temps. the top end seemed a little softer so may go back to a 470, not sure yet. gotta clean my filter and do some more testing first...

Hmm
how heavy are you?
you may be under geared for your weight if you are 120 lbs or less
power valve clean?
compression ok? (10 hrs and we see a big drop when racing)
we have noticed that he 125 is faster than the 144 upgrade.
however the factory 2011 150 rips.
it must be cdi mapping.
check the health of you machine before jetting

the map is supposed to be the same , but you never know for sure! the 125 seems to have more top and revs quicker, 150 lets you run higher gearing which kinda gives you more top. seat of pants feel for me is 150 has more torque but thats it, i think biggest benifit is allows bigger range of gearing options, or lets a chubby older guy ride a small bike better LOL
