• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

OTD Prices paid on 650's

Im in the market and looking. Anywhere in the metro NY area. terra,Strada I'll take either at that price....maybe two.

i paid msrp, but this was right after the bike was released. I have seen them advertised for 1K below.

I paid msrp too but got mine back in early December or late November. Pretty bummed that people are getting them below 6k now.

Paid 5800 for mine when they first came out, was a Dealer show demo with 100 miles on it.....

Paid $6,999 for my Terra in October. The same dealer, Eurosport in Asheville, NC is advertising one now for $6,000. I'm not bummed. I've gotten a $1000 worth of grins since last fall. At $6,000, it's a steal. Good to hear some are doing even better.

Paid $7,300 for the Strada OTD (we have about 10% sales tax, and vehicle licensing is not real cheap either) from Long Beach BMW. I'm happy, they are happy, and will give me a loaner bike when service is done. They have a dedicated Husky tech who I like, and two Moss computers with Husky VINs.

Same here. Bought it here in Fresno back in February just before the big discount came around. The BMW shop here is MOSS capable and very friendly. Regardless of what they go for now, I love my TR and plan on keeping it for many years to come

Did anyone in California find a better price than $7300 OTD for a Strada? I've contacted about 10 dealers in California and they are either sold out or don't go lower than $7300 OTD...

I saw one for 5999. So add sales tax of 480, plus freight and set up, that's going to be pretty close to $7300. A great deal in my opinion. That's $1500 less than a few months ago. Better hurry.

Did you try B&B in Victorville? I bought my Terra there after calling around So Cal.

Not sure what part of CA you are in, but it is about 11.5% added to the sales price where I live (local sales tax plus state registration).

At MSRP that would be about $8,6250 OTD here. $7300 OTD sounds like a great deal to me, not every dealer got the discounts and it could be many are selling below cost.

But as the bikes disappear because certain dealers are willing to sell cheap, the only ones left could be at a higher cost.
