• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husqvarna died in 1986. The bikes we are riding today are not Husqvarna. They are Cagiva. Now Cagiva is dead. They were BMW for a while, but BMW sold them. KTM is not KTM anymore. They are Bajaj. They used to be Penton. Noticing the trend?

Spot on!

Hmm... I've never heard of anyone riding a 511 on the street before...

tinken, that te 511 worked great in dirt. ITS A FULL ON MOTOCROSS BIKE.. but I want both. dirt and highway. I just talked to a guy on the phone calling me about selling my te610 and he was same height at I am 6 foot 3 inches and he says the terra sits low........maybe I did buy the right bike? the te511.......i want more highway speed for sure. yes I will sacrifice dirt speed for that........also I want knobby of some sort............no I dont want supermoto tires on the thing.......they don't work in dirt !! now im confused, im getting inquirys about selling my 2006 te610 (for about 3300 bucks, its in mint condition with minimal miles on it).......but im telling callers im unsure now......maybe i should keep the te610 and put super moto tires on that thing !!! and use my new te511 for more dirt work???????///I would prefer to have one bike that does both.........the te610 seemed to do that even though it was a bit heavy......I SEEM TO WANT EVERYTHING IN A BIKE , GREAT ON DIRT GREAT ON INTERSTATE....AND I DONT THINK THATS POSSIBLE.....nice pics though, other than the tires are useless in dirt

Dude...lay off the crack for a couple hours before you post.

I have never used crack, why would u mention that ? from experience?

Now, now..

  • This discussion about YOGAVNTURE's TE511 doesn't really belong in this thread. It belongs in the thread already started about this very thing.
  • The only thing YOGAVNTURE needs to lay off of is the cap lock. Using all capital letters is tantamount to shouting when online.
  • We all have our own personalities and posting styles. Some are smooth, some are funny, some are serious and some are scattered. Hey, it's just like real life!
  • Those 511 SM's are pure unholy sexiness.

We now take you back to your regularly scheduled programming

the best way to kill a flying bird is with a shotgun

Dude, I'm on your side, here! I was responding to Mike-AK's post and defending your posting style. And "we" is every one of us here at CafeHusky...the collective "I", if you will.

At the top of the gray box where you type your reply you will see some little boxes. One of them has a smiley face on it. When you get to the spot where you want to insert your smiley face you just click on that box. It will show you all the smileys that are available. You just click on the one you want and voila' - smiley face! :)

We are all "talking" with one another here on CafeHusky. We cannot hear each other's tone of voice or see each other's facial clues or body language...all those physical indicators that let us know what the other person is really thinking or feeling. We only "hear" their written words. We have italics, bold print and underlining available to us (the small boxes to the left at the top of your reply box,) in addition to the smiley faces, to help it seem more like regular conversation. Much the same way that members will make their letters really small to indicate whispering, or to indicate thoughts to themselves, using capital letters is used to indicate shouting. It might seem silly, but it's a basic tenet of online forums.

I apologize to the members participating in this thread for taking it further off-topic than it already was. That was not my intention. Quite the opposite...

@WoodsChick :D ;) :love: :D;););)

If anyone sends me a PM about shooting anyone with a shotgun, it will be dealt with in the legal system. Just being up front so certain people are aware of the potential ramifications of their actions. I have a very low tolerance for this shit.

Take it out of the thread and into private messages, please. Both of you.
I will try to speak with this person privately im sorry , I got a bit offended by this person accusing me of being a crack user. that was the beginning of this ......just to be clear. if someone accuses me of being a crack user, I will defend myself. I was trying to give this person a message not to mess with me. my reference to shotgun approach is in reference to someone here stating that some people are funny. some serious , some scattered...........(my shotgun statement was a joke in reference to the scattered comment. all in fun........

And I have a very low tolerance for members going at it with each other, especially in several threads at once.
If you guys don't like each other you can ignore each other's posts. I'm just asking both of you to keep your sniping out of the threads. Simple.
If you want to argue or be crappy to each other, feel free to do so privately. Most of us come here for information, entertainment, help or just to enjoy the camaraderie of our fellow like-minded Husky enthusiasts. None of us come here to see members arguing. There are plenty of other forums where that is the norm, but most of us here enjoy CafeHusky because it is not prolific here...and we want to keep it that way.

And for what it's worth, I don't think the "flying bird" post was a threat.

Thank you.

EDIT: This was posted before reading your reply, YOGAVNTURE

Whatever. I have set my preferences to ignore him. He sent me a PM and I told him to send no more.
