    WR = 2st Enduro & CR = 2st Cross

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc ? on WR 250/300's

Hero deals end TOMORROW.

There is another program coming out but it is not as good as the present one. I think the rebate goes down to $500 on a lot of models

If Husky would let me I would. It's not just the looks of the Husky's which IMO look better than any other bike. It's the riding position, ease of riding, and the overall feel of quality that keep me wanting them. The two I have couldn't be more different yet they are the same if that make sence. Well they don't make that many models so it can't cost me but so much to own one of each lol.

300=Power

I have 1 ride on my 300, and it is fantastic
I have moved the bar mounts to the forward position,
and rolled the bars forward.
I am very comfortable on this bike, I am coming off of
RM's and I adapted instantly to this bike.

I modded my head before taking it on a real ride
because the squish band was almost non-existant :excuseme:
The head must have been designed for a domed piston
I changed the 460 main to a 420, but that was too lean.
430 is working very nice.
It now revs, but who needs that much power :busted:
Now is a good time to mention the front brake is extremly strong.
After the head mod and jetting I'm convinced this is a CR300.

Which brings me to the WR CR transmission.
This motor could pull every other gear,
the gears are too close. A real WR (Wide Ratio) trans
would be more suited to the broad power band of this motor.
The plus side is that you are never in the wrong gear.
There were sections I could have done in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th.

I will moto this bike in the near future, and I expect it to do
very well. I know I'll be turning in the clickers and I think there
should be enough range to handle it.

Will it beat a 250 any thing in a drag race? Yes.
How do I know, my friend that rides a 250 SX rode it and
said it was cheating
My brother that rides a 530 had a huge grin, and said he wanted a
two stroke again

The lights came in a box, the hard part is figuring out where
every thing goes. I could not get a wiring diagram from the
dealer, and he even tried getting the info from Italy :banghead:

You can't go wrong, this bike will do it all :applause:

Very good report flyin, thanks for your input. If/when I get one I would like to know about your modding the head. So will it turn with the RM's? Also how do they compare weight wise to the RM's? Thanks, John
