• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

On board vid with Meo WEC Turkey GP

wow ... That was one gnarly looking track to me ...The video looks like his head is going at the bars all the time but the shot at the end shows him sitting up right on the bike as expected ...

Nothing on the track phases these guys ... ruts are just flat ground apparently to them ... Rocks are nothing ... :)

So these guys ride the track on Saturday and race it on Sunday?

Marc Germain vid is the Friday Night Super Test. Two riders race head to head on parallel courses. You can see the other track to his right and then that tall bridge is the crossover. At some events this will become the Extreme Test for Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday and Sunday they race the same course in two seperate points paying events. It consists of an Enduro Test, Extreme test and Motocross Test with transfer trail, run for three laps. I'm not sure, but I think the first lap on Saturday is untimed.

Wow these guys are so fast, I'd love to see Meo vs. some GNCC guys.

This one is great too, just wish it was a Husky tiddler. Marc Germain on YZ 125

Meo is doing quicker times than David Knight so he'd be a few steps ahead of GNCC guys
I think aussie team Husky rider - Chris Hollis from the Goldcoast is roughly on par with Strang and he comes just outside top ten
Mind you its more intense riding in short bursts with trail sections between . Strang is more of a long distance runner

do you remember what Meo did on a WR144 at the 2008 Australian 4 day - came second overall to Chris Hollis on a WR 450
if he didnt crash three time on first day due to poor tyre choice he would have won
he was 15th ?after day 1

That special, is a very open outdoor MX style course, now imagine AC222 (or Dungey) who is at a whole 'nother level MX than Meo (and Meo was a GP MX guy) hitting that track. Just for info about speed levels. Not to wind everyone up. As for the WEC crowd Meo is always on the tip of the spear for speed, he flat rips and always looks to having fun doing it !!
