• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC Ok so I bought a new beta...ever piss your wife off? I did....

fletchman45

Husqvarna
Pro Class
Ok I bought a beta 250rr and love it!!! I then bought and sold a 2011 yamaha yz 125.....I then bought a 2014 cr 125 husqvarna with the 144 kit in the box and five hours on it! I then sold that and took a 2000 husqvarna wr 250 on trade..i then decided to buy a lightly used beta just five hours from my house... that's when the problem started...I had to deliver he beloved 125 husky to my friend....he wasn't home....so I opened his garage door saw my old 2015 husky to 250.....put the 125 husky in his garage.... loaded his dinosaur 2000 250 wr (ha went to Hall's with him 16 years ago to get it!!!) Took off to get beta....feeling a little saddened by sewing all this husky stuff around me..next thing I'm on the phone.... with HALLS .....ok road trip.... anyways...I will have some details in another post soon....I will tell you...the beta is good! And so is the Husky!

Funny how they don't understand...yes two new dirtbike may be foolish..but life's short! And I love the Husqvarna marque and heritage that goes with it! No map switch which I never used anyways but does have a nice hour meter and weighs 211.2 pounds dry! Will need a flywheel weight and lower gearing I feel..at the moment beta even at 235 pounds is easier to ride fast....will need front and rear revalve (it's a moto bike) crazy light and clutch pull way easier then beta also seat feels lower then my 15 husky....beta stock is like cheating...husky dialed will prevail....211 pounds is crazy! Air fork is weird but think it will be fine!

YEA HE'S BEEN AWOL ...HI FLETCH WHERE YA BEEN
Aw with the Ducati crash my knee has been messed up and I finally can open a car door with my thumb....but I'm working out a bit back on track and I also built the family a new house so I'm back on track and while I agree with my wife who needs two new dirtbikes I also think life is short...the beta will be my street legal dual sport fun horn honking bike and the Husky I plan on getting another winners jacket next year on...I'm stoked... surprisingly the beta is really good and I think add handguard and any level rider could win on it! The Husky needs refined but only in the sense it is a moto bike...once dialed I feel it will be awesome!! I really hated to sell the 144 but my buddy pushed me with $$$$....the knee is not back but I am even if only 80%....

Riding on the street use to fun before speed camera's, speed camera's and finally speed camera's:mad:. Road racing is so expensive and crashing hurts both wallet and body severely:(

I guess the only benefit of the above was that l started to ride more dirt than tar...and haven't looked back really.

PS. Looking at adding a Beta 300 to the collection as well...shhhhhhh
