• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

OHH EMM GEE! Bubba doesn't crash!

Just don't know what to think about Bubba. Gets a bad start, moving through the pack, clicking off the fastest laps, reeling in Villi, then nothing, if he did not fall what happened to him? He used to never give up almost to a fault.

Maybe he was thinking too hard about not crashing? :p

He didn't give up, but got held up on a triple by the red light when a rider went down. Villipoto just made it thru before the red & Bubba was forced to roll the triple. Cost him 4-5 seconds easily....Short of RV crashing, there wasn't enough laps left to make that up.....

Bubba looked awesome in his heat....that quad into the turn was crazy....in the main with a bad start he was flying them....that triple just cost him at least a chance to battle RV....

JS7 on the starting gate: "I heard Prince is in the building(?)"

Me thought: "Let us know when your bike and your focus are in the same building"
He must have been looking for "Prince in the building" during the race. Maybe that's why he didn't crash.

He has got the speed, his new setup and tires are working well, he has got some time on the bike and is starting to come around. He came through a fast pack on a very hard track, caught the leaders who were in a dog fight and riding 100% I think he is doing great. Am I a JS cheerleader, no, do I hate the guy, no. Seems to have sorted some stuff out (sounds like bike setup and tires were the main issues) and now has the speed and looked good. Everyone else was getting passed like crazy by RD and RV but JS caught them and posted some of the fastest lap times. He was coming through traffic and catching the 2 guys who had clear track, the dude is still amazingly fast. Him not getting to do the triple kept it from being a three bike race to the line. GREAT racing. JS has the speed and I like watching it. I for one am happy there is more than 1 or 2 guys in the mix, makes for excellent racing.
