  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc OFFICINE PROVINI group buy of adjustable WR power valve

OK, I'm going to let this idea of a group buy go and just try getting one for myself. I thought there would be more interest in it and there isn't going to be much of a price difference from one unit to 5.

Thanks.

The unit have 4 positions, when you rev the bike, the power valve will open, but the control unit wont let it open in one big hit, it slows it down. it works like a steering damper. and is rebuild able

Thanks for the explination. I guess I'd like to try it before deciding if I wanted it. Mainly because I don't see where the PV opening is an issue....but maybe I just don't know what I'm missing.

Im seriousley thinking of selling my bike, so this uint mite be for sale, along with a alloy tank, 12.5lt tank, and a fully rebuilt w.e.r damper

wow, nice detailing on the motor.

so what do you think of the PV controller? This would be cool on a 125. (yes i realize that will not work and is different than the 125 stuff)

I used to ride my ex wr 250 with the TEC Valve, nice mods for wr's engine, im selling the bike if somebody is interested in the Provini TEC can send me a pm or a mail (i'm also selling the meca's system radiator guard)

Actually, he use the same unit for all bikes and just changes the way they mount. So, yes, it will work on the 125. Tallond Volland use to use them when he came back from the GP's in the 125 Nationals. Basically any time the motor wants to brake loose and spool up real fast the TEC can help. I also seems to hold the motor in the "torque zone" and pull really strong without getting wild.

Personally, I think they're great.

How does it install? does it fasten to anything or just ride against the lever that operates the valve? Please advise.
Thanks
