• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

GASGAS IS STILL RIDING AND REORGANIZES ITS STRUCTURE IN USA FOR TRIAL AND ENDURO

14/04/2016

After the acquisition of Gas Gas by Torrot Group, the historic Trial and Enduro manufacturer has reorganized its structure in USA to respond to the demands from this important market in the most efficient way. The main change is that the whole management and distribution both for Trial and Enduro are under one umbrella, the subsidiary from the main factory Torrot Gas Gas North America Inc.

The new management team is formed by old known Gas Gas professionals and some new reinforcements directly from corporate level: Mark Berg as COO; Rod Overstreet as Sales Manager; Joaquin Perles as Director of Business Dev. & Digital Marketing; David Martinez as Export Sales Manager. Ivan Contreras, as CEO and owner of the company, will be leading Gas Gas directly in USA, as an evidence of Gas Gas commitment.

As Contreras said, “We are a passionate team dedicated to serve dealers and consumers every day. We are producing, racing, and developing new products with the same passion than it has made us keep riding for the last 30 years of Gas Gas history. And we are still riding!”

The company has opened a Distribution Center already in South Dakota, and it will establish headquarters in California this summer. As Contreras stated, “It is in our 3 year plan to keep investing in USA to ensure a quality service. We have exciting times ahead of us and we love to share the result of all this work with our clients.”

Besides the traditional Enduro models, there are some novelties like the new GASGAS TXT 300 RACING which is on its way to USA, and other new series like the Electrical Trial and Enduro bikes for Kids, the future champions. High Technology and authentic motor bikes components are used for the safety of the youngest riders.

The company would like to thank Mr. Dale Malasek and Mr. Jim Snell for their work and support offered to Gas Gas all these years. We wish them the best of success in all of their future endeavors.

80 views and no one has anything to say.
How does the Christini 2wd/awd fit into the gas gas structure/restructure. Are they going to be sourcing their two cycle engines through your channels. How much of their product is Gas Gas beyond the engine.

I also noticed the 200 has a longer stroke than the ktm 200.

That may be the case with the four cycle models. The two cycle ones I have been researching have the 4cs forks where the gas gas is "Marzocchi shiver inverted ø48 mm, closed cartridge". I see on various websites the frame is steel on Gas Gas and aluminum on Christini.

Guess they changed their model....

Its not a gasser that's for sure after looking....

must be their own deal... plastic don't look like anything....
