• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I am game for a day ride on the 31st, and if no details immerse can organize a meetup or route. Unfortunate part is we might have some rain here and there.

Hey, I've got an idea. Lets wait until the last minute and then wonder why we don't have more people interested. I do believe I'll make other plans.

sorry, life got in the way. Girl off to college, people changing jobs, Dad in the hospital, sorry I ruined your weekend. I suck. Also i was more tossing out an idea rather than being a master organizer. Anyone is willing to drive this if they want to.

Anyone without a big attitude want to do a full day this weekend? Might not be the best weekend as it is a holiday and the traffic will be at maximum. I think i could do any day this weekend. Sorry about dropping the ball on this just tons of crap happening around my life right now.

Meet Sunday in Washougal washington about 9? Just tossing it out there. I have many routes to explore. This will be a wing it and have fun type of gig not a Kelly is in charge of everything why did I not have more fun gig.

Not real sure how to organize this and obviously time got away from me. This summer felt like 2 weeks long! Right now I'm in for a full day sunday. Might be able to swing a two day gig and sleep at a motel somewhere (don't like to pack big and there talking rain this weekend). Maybe we could ride to packwood or something and hope there is one room 6 of us could share he he he. Dunno. I simply had no time to do a full organized ride and the date blindsided me coming so fast. All that said I am up for a sunday and maybe Monday ride if people still want to do this.

Chime in and let me know if you are in for Sunday the 1st and if you want to just do a day or if you are in for 2. I think a big huge day trip would be best this late and on a holiday weekend.

Although I was a little hesitant about going, only because I am not totally "geared up", I definitely was stoked to get some miles on it, and meet some of the local CH crowd. Now it being on Sunday, I have to give way to wife's plans for her 15k, oh well. Whoever makes it Sunday, have a good ride. Maybe something it will work out in the near future for another Terra/Strada ride.

Kelly, no matter how planned/unplanned, you made to the effort to get it going, thank you.

Not a TR650 per se, but I will probably ride my TR650 on the trails there.

OK, this is dead, no ride, Sorry. Best for me anyway right now as I need to make sure my dad is OK. He is not doing all that well and having just lost my mom I am super sensitive to his well being right now.
