• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

NW Gathering Round 3 - November 7-11 2012

Trailer drama over, bikes and wine loaded, nails painted, alarm set. See y'all tomorrow night if the good lord's willing and the creeks don't rise.
When/where is dinner?
2 more things - if you wanted to call, and I do not answer, leave a message. And.... the pool & spa at the red lion is closed, looks like a bit of concrete work is being done.
:banghead:

Well, I'm out.
Just too much stuff going on.
That is too bad, I was looking forward to meeting you.

Blake Adam and i will be rolling into 2510 about 1 tomorrow afternoon and riding a few hours then headed to the Lion for some wine and nail painting.

  • No idea who it might be, but there is a white honda pickup (ridge line?) with a far too clean Husky 2st in the back of it in the parking lot at the moment...

I believe that would be Jon H (Walt's Bud)

New member here. Just caught a break at work and am free tomorrow. I'm gonna pull down tomorrow for some riding on Sat. Will be riding a KDX200. Don't have a modern Husky trail bike yet but would love the opportunity to look some of the two strokes over.

Nuts!

Transmission in my Explorer just freaked out. No road trip for me this weekend. Oh well, better to have it happen a few miles from home rather than 5 hours away. Bummer, I was looking forward to meeting some of the people who's posts I've been perusing the last couple weeks.

Dude, that sucks!
You were way closer to going than I was.

Jon called me and said he got a couple of rides in today. One of the Cafe Husky members went for a 30+ mile ride with him splitting time on my '12 165. Would love to get the unvarnished evaluation from a complete stranger to the breed. Don't know his name but he could only be there today. Let us know what you thought.

They are at 25, not 2510...

I am assuming you do not want to ferry the bikes back and forth to bend on Friday night/Saturday morning. There are no people at 2510 to watch your bikes.
