• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

NW Fall Gathering 2017!

That's a l-o-o-o-n-g haul. Besides, I think DD is almost 3hrs farther south than you maybe?

Mimi- if you go, break it up... you can fish at Clear Lake and ride Cow Mountain for a day (or above upper lake); hell, stretch it to Redding and fish Shasta Lake and ride Chappie-Shasta. or stay at Stonyford; ride & fish there too.

btw, Clear Lake & Stony are about an hour off of I-5. OTOH, I-5 splits Shasta Lake.

bring a jacket. :D
I live 40m miles north of the Mexican border, so it would be at least 12-14 hours of driving to get up there.

That does make for a long day just to get to NorCal. I raced mtb down at Lake Morena a couple of years and a few hours+ driving.

Very little action here. How many are planning to go? Looks like the weather will be cold but generally good.

We have a group meeting at BMP Thursday morning 11/9/17 and heading over.
I do not have a total head count yet.

16 miles from China Hat,(between Bend and C.H.) got a light dusting of snow last night, temp today 44 deg. next Friday they call for 48 hi and 28 low, with a 60% chance of scattered showers,(little dust if any) but it has been nice around here, so it should be fun!

I spent the morning loading firewood for whoever is staying out there, I should be out Friday afternoon after work, it'll provide a little warmth! Photo crooked, I know!

Yeah there's not much action on this board in general anymore. That's why I made an event on the Faceyspace as well, lots of people talking about it there.
