  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Nuda 900 Engine Start Resets On-board Computer

Husqvarna
A Class
OK, I'm posting here because I didn't really find a section more suited to the Nuda. Also I know it's really hard to find someone with experience on this bike but may as well try on an Husqvarna forum right? :p

Here's my problem: last Thursday I went to the gas station and filled up my tank, I reset the gas consumption and trip indicators from the on-board computer then tried to turn on the bike.
The started made a couple of round and then everything shut off, when I released the starter power came back but the on board computer reset itself to the values it had before I filled my tank.

I didn't think much about it since I was late, I just reset them again and went on with my day. Problem is that it happened again 2 more times that same day always resetting the values to before I filled my gas tank. Due to bad weather and awful work hours I haven't started my bike since.

Does anyone have any idea (even a shot in the dark) about what could cause such a bizarre problem?

It is odd!!
Does it have a clock on the display.....did it lose its setting? If yes then I'd start looking for a power interruption.
Start at battery terminals, and go from there. Don't forget to check the earths too.
If the clock kept settings then poss dash unit fault or connection from dash to ecu.
These are all educated guesses and suggestions...nothing more.

To be honest I didn't check the clock, still haven't used the bike (damn work). If and when it ill happen again i'll make sure to check.

Thanks for the help anyway

How old is your battery? The nuda start with all kind of strange issues when the battery gets old and it will not help to recharge it.
