• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Now what am I supposed to do!?

Anyone having luck getting this covered under warranty? I only have 428 miles on my bike so far. Was on a bumpy dirt road about 2 miles from home. Didn't realize it had broke till I was pulling in the drive. Went back in my car to find my license plate and turn signal. I need to come up with something quickly, weather is getting nicer and I want to ride. 20140508_191127.jpg

Here's a cheap and easy fix. 1/2" x 1/8" flat stock with a 5/16" washer welded on one end. Mounts to the muffler mount and t/s mount bolts. Really stiffens up the rear fender.

your lucky I never found my plate, try www.brmoto.com side and top racks after you get a new OEM plastic fender and turn signal light from www.ktm-parts.com that is much quicker then the warranty claim through your dealer via www.husqvarna.com/na I had to go to DMV and buy a new license plate, I have 2 extra new OEM number plate holders part # 8000H5322, I will sell you one if you want it

They are covering it under warranty, but who knows how long that will take. I am going to throw something on there to get by till parts arrive, so thanks for the suggestions. Didn't realize how many people had this problem, guess I need to use the search feature a little more.

Yes, I hate to say it, but my dogs have constructed better thought out parts on our evening walks than the rear fender on our bikes. I relocated my plate to under the fender and place a long bolt through the fender to my nomadic rack. Never shall I worry about that again! That was of course after it broke and lost my plate.

plus a new state inspection sticker and at least 20 phone calls, photos in triplicate scanned and emailed the the dealer who then probably sent them to Husqvarna NA did I get my warranty plastic number plate holder. The one I ordered from www.ktm-parts.com had arrived 3 weeks earlier and was installed and on the bike.:banghead:

How much for the plate holder?

If I get part number 800H5322 and a couple cheap aftermarket turn signals I should be able to get it back on the road before the warranty parts arrive.

That's what I'd do. Get the new one, chop it, reinforce it by tying it into another part on the bike. Aftermarket lights would be good because you can buy 4 for the price of one OEM, but remember if you go LED you will need to install resistors so your turn signal lights don't flash quickly(like they more than likely do now if they are not connected). Im not sure if it has been done, but a digital flasher would be a better answer than individual resistors for the lights as it requires less modification.
