• 2 Stroke Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Italy - About 1989 to 2014
    WR = 2st Enduro & CR = 2st Cross

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc Note to BMW/HVA

At least just include the "factory race kit" to give us something to look at.

gas gas????????PLEASSSSSSSSE did you see the dirt bike world 300 shoot out test? the gas gas while its advertised weight is 225lbs it crossed their scales at 245!!! 20 lbs heavyier than the KTM and 16lbs more than the WR ! Ifs its good enough to finish erzberg 2nd its good enough for me !!

I love my new 13 Gas Gas 300 but would go back to Husky on a 300 two stroke in a skinny minute if they'd make one I could get on without a ladder! The 300 in my TXC 250 frame would be killer! And yes, Husqvarna, I would like e-start please. :)

Nooo! Nooo! Nooooooo! The other brands handle the little/normal guys just fine. Keep one brand that fits the bigger people. The size is the number one reason why I bought the 300.

We just need to find a happy in between where you can install a tall seat and I can install a short seat.

Sweet peppers, that's sick! Is that photo from the factory team website? I'd love to see a breakdown of components on that thing.

Husky posted on Facebook that it is a kit that they have available. Made it sound like it was available for purchase to the public. Pro circuit pipe and silencer, billet footpegs, graphics and other goodies. Here is the link:

I hope that worked. You can buy them all from a dealer at 20% off!

Nice! I hope i can get myself some husky bucks this year to pay for some of that porn..i mean stuff

So, I was hanging out at the motorcycle show today, and started chatting with the Husqvarna rep at the BMW booth. I was looking at the Terra, and asked him if he'd heard any rumors about the new 2 strokes. He said sure he's heard rumors, but no actual information. The new 2 strokes have been on the horizon forever. He said one thing that intrigued me though...

He cannot get any 250/300s anymore. They are unavailable.

I was also told they didnt have any 250,300 at the dealer meeting. They never even talked about them.

just a note. I sent an email to Corey @ husky over the weekend and got an informational response Monday morning. they are listening. Does our impact have an impact? TBD.

I know a lot of you take the lack of activity to be the sign of major changes to come, but it wouldn't surprise me if BMW pressured husky to terminate 2-stroke development.

My theory is that husky knew that the new 2-stroke models were in jeopardy as a result of the acquisition so they mentioned that they "have a high-tech two-stroke, likely directly injected, in their near-term product plan" to Cycle World to prompt them to write an article that would help boost consumer interest and stay BMW's hand.

I'm a huge husky and 2t fan, so I hope I'm wrong.

BMW is a leader in a lot of tech and would be a real good one to figure out DI on 2 strokes IMHO. Many of their offerings are very advanced and developed. We will see if the bean counters let it happen or not. Rumor is big changes int he next few years to the product line.

I hope there is a new 2t on it's way but if EWC is an indication, it's the 2nd straight year that CH Racing is not fielding a 2t in E3 which seems to be packed with 300 2bangers this season.

Now that I have my 300 with Ohliens front and rear I see no reason to want a new 2 stroke It works that good Even if a new one comes around I do not see my self being the first in line and paying alot to be one of the first to get one.So at this point I do not care if a new 2 stroke is on the way as my 300 works just fine now
Still would be nice if they but the old motor in a lighter bike but that is about all I could ask for
No e button,No juice clutch,no 6 speed ,no FI needed just keep it simple cheap and easy to work on
Just like it is and to think I use to complain I needed a new bike not now

I have two races on my new wr 250 and love it there is no disadvantage to riding them. I love the simplicity of the bike that's why I bought it and made 300 in husky bucks to pay for some parts. The other companies hardly give you anything.

Random mention: Maybe it's just me, but I think the pegs are set too far back. I'd like them to be moved forward a half inch. It always feel as if I'm standing on my heels. In the lower position I actually do. Lower the tank and move the pegs forward. That's all I want.
