• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Not many sleeps left now until this comes home

PEZBerq,
I like your Acerbis front fender with the wide mud flap.
White is a good color for the mud flap, I've seen them in blue.
I'd like to find one in white.

Where did you find the fender?
Does Acerbis still make them?

Thanks.

I bought the Acerbis mudguard extender kit on my 85 510 from Huskydoggg (Steve Borejko) when he was selling Husky parts in Canada. I believe he has closed down/ sold out the business unfortunately. I sourced many juicy bits from him over the years.

I bought another of my bikes with the fender kit installed. They are out there so keep an eye on eBay - both for the Acerbis kit and for a fender with it already fitted. Good luck. I also prefer the white extender kits on a white Husky fender. Blue is better in a Yamaha IT I reckon.

Ha, blue is better on a Yamaha!
Thanks for the tip.
I have some new Acerbis fenders, but a white mudguard would be cool. I may have to paint my blue mudguards. I have a rear fender w/ mudguard extender too. I've also seen pictures of a light gray mudguard, that would be cool.

Try Halls Husqvarna. Raymond Devlin sourced me a full set recently. I think Andy at HVA Factory has them also. They won't be too hard to machine from a suitable donor guide also if worst comes to worst. Try Kibblewhite Engineering also.
Good luck.

Everfree, I think the 510 LC guide can fit. The part # is different from a AC, but I think it can fit.
Basically the head is the same.
Try and find a old husky dealer who can tell you.
