• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

not husky but disbelief....

haha...no Harley expert here, but looks alot like a piece of pipe to me. Wouldn't you need 2
Maybe it's a typo

I am not sure Harley used baffles in 1939, could be an old racing pipe , 2 would be needed.

Rember HD was not high tech then and still behind somewhat now

That exhaust with a boost bottle may help a Harley. Lmao..........kidding. No Harley here. But a old 30's Harley or Indian I would like one. A high tech Harley has been the same for a hundred years the pushing is the same. I seen more new Harley's on two trucks. I think a nice Indian bobber.

I have had some new Harley riders call me a poser because I ride a Road Star instead of a Harley. I have a collection of Miracle Ride T shirts because I have ridden every ride I have a T shirts . I told them a poser is someone who buys a new bike with T shirts of famous rides he or she will never ride. Another poser trait is having a Harley for 10 years and only having 3000 miles on the speedometer. I ride what I want and if I was not happy with it, it would not have 24k on the odometer in the 12 years I have owned it. Harleys are nice bikes but not nice enough for me to starve my family like I have seen some do over the years. My Road Star is an example of a well made Japanese V twin and after riding it for the first year, I lost all desire for the Harley Road King I would have chosen over any of the touring class Harley. My Road Star is now the softail Road King that has not been made yet...if ever

gotta ride what you like, or you wont ride!

I put about 15k miles on my bandit the first summer. Some bikes are meant to ride and some go from coffee shop to coffee shop it's up to you. Many times I had a sore butt from riding.
