• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Went for a dualsport ride yesterday. Didn't take the Husqvarna:busted: because I was late (missed the first half of the ride) and had to catch up to the others by taking a lot of freeway, and I try not to do too much freeway riding on my TE if possible as I like to save it for twisties and dirt. But I liked this picture, so I posted it.:D

This was also about the last moment in time that my bike and duds were fresh and clean looking, as the trail we were soon on was plenty dusty and I wasn't leading. Temps were in the mid to high 90s.

Wow...you are one clean and brightly-colored dame!!

What's the deal with the sign? It's pretty darned funny

Mid to high 90's? I hope that colorful gear is vented!

You pull of the turquoise and lime green pretty well. Must be the blond hair out the back of the helmet that makes it work.

So, exactly where is Hell?

There is this biker joint out on the Ortega highway (which runs from the coast over to Elsinore) where they serve up overpriced burgers and beer and the service is awful. This place is called Hells Kitchen and I would suppose that it refers to the hour and a half wait for the food and the outlandish prices. On the other hand, there isn't anything around for miles to compete with them....so what do they care.:excuseme:

OK, now I know where you were, generally at least.
