  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

A Class
Hi I built a 2002 cr 250 basically from scratch I've just posted photos if you want a look!!
I'm very happy with the end product but think the front fender looks naff and would like a newer style fender is this possible?????

Yeah you can make most front fenders fit so just pick one you like the shape of. I went for a 2005 cr fender on mine and looks a lot better.

If you are l looking to stick with Husky parts the thing to do would be install a about an '05 WR fender. It would be yellow, but more styled like the new ones.

Need to take some more pics of her but here is one with and one just after I came off and ripped it off lol.

So what year rear plactic are they? A friend has a new to him 2000 CR125 that needs all new plastics and he wants to update the looks as much as possible without changing sub frame, tank etc. Thanks. BTW your bike is looking good.

i think he would have to change tank and seat to get newer ones but don't hold me to that parfos the man to ask he's done it
does your friends bike have upside down forks ?

Yes he has the newer forks like my 08. I was told he would have to change the seat, sub frome, and tank to installe the newer plastics. Your rear fender looks a lot newer than his and according to what I was told your 2002 has the same plastics as his. What year rear fender are you running? Thanks.

Mine is a '98 and has '05 plastics. I had to change the tank and seat. Subframe works but for a better fit I used a WRE125 subframe ('98 subframe in the above pic).

The grey bit is a fender support that should come with the fender you buy.

John01, you can fit the '05 front and rear fenders to a 2000 model with no mods, they bolt right on.
