Hi everyone,
Picked up my first dirt bike, a 2011 TXC 449. Pretty dang clean and looked to be a garage queen. A 450 was more bike then i wanted for my first ride on two wheels, but I couldnt pass up electric start, fuel injection, brembo brakes, and in general top quality components for $2900 which is just insane value. I also love the unique look of the Husky plastics.Very suave. I love the unique suspension approach and the efforts BMW/husky made to improve traction and the improved chain/sprocket life.
So far the performance has been great. My dirt bike buddies described it as smooth, easy to ride, and with surprising traction for a 450, all great remarks for a guy who just bought his first bike.
The only mod is a FMF Power Core Slip on.
Question for the experienced. The TXC feels down on power and snappiness compared to my buddies older stock 06 CRF450R(not that i need power). I didnt appear i have the "power up" plug per the below picture.
1) Does the power up plug make a difference?
2) Does anyone know where i can purchase one from or make my own?
Any suggestions on improvements or things i need to stay on top of?
