• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Well in my search for a single track bike, I started by looking for a wr300 or a 300 xc-w. No go, ether they didn't fit my price range or I could not find what I wanted.
I had decided I would like electric start and lighter weight than my 610.

So as I was looking the Cafe's classified section, I came across an 08 txc. After talking to the owner (cb250txc) I figured it would fit my use the best. So after a 18 and a half hour day of down and back driving, I have a very nice single track bike. Thanks to cb250txc for driving out of the city for a couple hours to meet me.

So that brings us to today.
Took it out for a 20 some odd mile shake down. And my verdict is....SWEET:cheers:.
It seems very nice to loose the extra 100#'s and gain the quicker steering over the 610. The 300 kit just adds to extra fun.
Sorry for the poor picture quality, I only had my cell phone with me.

Looks great Wally! I starting to wish my 510 was a 310. I have a three day weekend august 7,8,9 (first time off this year). I need to ride the 510 or trade it for a rocking chair. Vacation in sept. you need to attend the Chandler Hill challenge the last weekend in sept. It is an AMA dualsport event and loads of fun. Steve
