  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

New to husky ownership! Any help with tc250 2010?

Husqvarna
Hi guys, after a couple of years of sitting on them and saying how good they looked I decided to take the plunge and get myself a TC250. I went for the 2010 as it has a carb, and it came with an arrow exhaust from the hard parts catalog and a boyesen quick shot so I thought it was a pretty good deal for what I paid for it.

Is there anyone that can offer any gearing advice? I will be using it for mx only and I have always had hondas so I'm kinda lost when it comes to set up! There is also one snag, and the reason I got such a good deal, the bike has no rear shock. Does anyone know where I could get one, i really want to get out riding but they are like rocking horse s**t! Does anything else fit?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I absolutely love the look and the feel of the bike and just want to get the best out of it.

Thanks in advance,

Ben

husky dealer ?? or perhaps call zip-ty. he has some shock mods for the sachs shock. can you afford an upgrade ?? get an ohlins if posible... won't be cheap. was this bike new or used ??I am guessing it's used if it is missing something like a shock....... more info plz

It was a used one, but kind of a donor bike for a junior supermoto team. It had a funky wierd air shock originally but that has gone. It also had supermoto wheels and forks but I have replaces them with the forks/front end from a crf250 and also the wheels.

Iv wanted one for ages as iv heard they handle great, but they need help in the gearing/carb department.

 Do you mean the shock is blown out, or literally gone? Most people are happy with the Sachs shock once it is dialed in properly. Send it to Les at LTR or another reputable builder and have it done up for your weight and riding style, and you'll probably be happy. Never heard of anyone fitting an Ohlins back there but I'm sure it can be done.
