• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

new TM 4 strokes

I wondered what was going on with those air scoops I kept seeing. It makes sense. Airfilter up high and away from the rear wheel. The gas tank down low and closer to center. I think its part of why the AJP feels so nimble. I think it is cool TM is not afraid to try things as bike design seems stagnant for the most part.

Oh wait, is the tank still up high? BTW that bike is porn.

The air scoops are a simple form of ram air. At least that's what my son was told. The new 4 strokes have the low under seat tank.

I'm nowhere close to tall enough to confidently kick start a tall dirt bike particularly on sloping terrain

Have Mercy, i want one just to rub up against. Didn't Fletchman45 own a TM? What's up. I am looking into the possibility of owning a TM next spring for certain and no i won't be able to use it to purpose that it is intended but why care the last dirt bike i rode well was a 1980 Husky WR. It's orgasmic cool.:)

Yea I have no real complaints. Handing was precise and dare I say every bit as good as a xlite chassis. No reliability issues. Nothing strange no parts coming loose. I had a small issue with parts. Not sure who's fault it was. But if they have a new importer its a good thing. Had I known this I may not be going to pick up a tc with possibly crappy forks. The aluminum frame is ridgid but provides precise handling. The engine rocked and did not need a flywheel at all. 2012 250 MX.

You can have the button on their 4 strokes. ALL bike need that little button :D.
. If I never raced I would agree. Most fast guys ditch the estart any way. Four stroke yea I want the button. Two stroke drop it off a cliff cartwheel it down a hill. Jump on hold wfo and bingo two kicks your out ta there ....and ten pounds lighter....

Ok Fletchman...... I'll say it this way, all old, slow, short legged, don't race, overweight riders like me need the button . Yeah something wrong with that pic.

Ha ha. Yea one year my buddy and I bought new TNT skidoo snowmobiles but they were sold out of non estart models so we got the electric start. I was mad as hec I think it was $500 more bucks and added more then ten pounds. OK lol it wasn't long and we discovered at least in a sled. Estart is nice when your sled is outside all night and it is 20 below 0**************************************** I understand. Since I race and I am on a limited budget. And after riding a heavy bike aka gasser 300 12 model. And crashing and braking a 300$ radiator (sadly on a non estart model) but I crashed because it was heavy! I just can't have the extra ten pounds! But I see your point! The Tm is a super cool bad boy and a race.machine . And really they probably just don't want to tool a new engine case or something..... in today's market you may be right it would be nice to at least be optional for whoever deems it a nesasary addition.
