  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st New thread: What´s your best improvement?

Extending the point where the clutch cable attaches to the clutch actuator arm. Made it soooo soft and easy.

Alex,

But look at all the quality time you have gotten to spend with your bikes internals.:banghead: When you are all done you will have a completely new engine.

Walt

You're right Walt and I keep telling myself that everytime I need to buy something else. Plus I've met some great folks in this journey

As for you Tony :foul: I do have a 2T, its just spread over half the garage at this point. BUT, when I put it all back together, the sum of the parts is gonna kick your :censored:

You dummy.. That comment was directed at "Slowpoke" (who does not have a 2 smoke).. I thought engineers were smart (I guess I was wong)

Maybe I am the dummy.. How many guys would lend another guy his Husky WR250 to ride (because that guys was spread over half the garage)

Amen to that Wally!

I am on the same mission.

Way cheaper than Titanium bike parts.

Lets start a cafe Husky biggest loser thread.

I am talking weight loss and not the fact that you have no life and still live with your parents.

Hey Petzi,

What model zap clutch perch is that on your bike.

I am looking to put one of these on my 81 430CR.

Do you know what the differance is between the 2 models they offer?
One looks like a shorty.

My 01 WR250 best addition was the WER Steering Damper.
My best 09 TE510 mod is my WER steering damper... Oh and my WER valve settings :thumbsup: Thanks Drew
