• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

New Product Intro!

Very cool indeed. Question...on the rearward plate/bolt combo, when the bolt is removed the screens come with it...do you just press fit the screens onto the bolt?

The bolt has a captive O ring on the end that fits inside the inner screen. It is just a snug enough fit so that when you remove the bolt, the screen comes with it.

There's only about 1 day left on the free shipping offer for anyone who is thinking about getting a set of drain bolts.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I updated my second post to add a couple of reviews from some guys I asked to test these out for the last month or so.

Lucky bastards.

I got my set a few days ago, I have to say these are more billet works of art thanks to clay:thumbsup:. Both beautiful and functional. Thanks again!

Received the drain plug set and case saver in the mail yesterday. Now just a few more days until I pick up the bike they're going on.

Really nice stuff.:applause: Thanks Clay.

So you got the bolt kit and case saver before getting the bike? I guess technically that means that the husky is going to be an accessory to our bolts and case saver.

Several of you have called or written with a question regarding the fitment of the front left bolt and it's copper washer. The washer does not quite fit all the way down to the base of the bolt. This is done on purpose. When the bolt is installed and tightened down all the way the copper washer is pushed onto the bolt, and becomes a snug fit. The idea was to get the copper washer to be retained on the bolt so that when the bolt gets removed the copper washer goes with it, instead of dropping into the oil.

I apologize if this caused any confusion or second thoughts. You can rest easy though, it was done on purpose, and is meant to make changing your oil just a little easier.

It might be a good approach to justify a new bike. Someone should try it on their "significant other".

HAHA I like this approach. So if I go out and buy a nice set of diamond earrings a beautiful woman should logically be the next step right?
