• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

New Product Intro!

Anyway, Clay.....is there a possibility of picking up the 3 plug set in person if said person happened to be on vacation in CO enjoying a 2-wheeled street ride in Southern Colorado? Don't know your logistics with the business and don't want to make a big deal of it. Am planning a trip that way during the latter part of August.

That would be very do-able. Send me a PM or email and I'm sure we can figure something out. Maybe even squeeze in a ride together.

Just talked to Clay on the phone and bought the oil drain plate to try out on my 630:

I won't get a chance to put it on until sometime next week. I'll let you know if it fits!

It should be no problem, as it is the same part number as the other models. The other drain plugs are different part numbers.

Clay,

Late thank you note here but..... finally got to install your drain plug kit in the 510. Husky (BMW) should be knocking your door down for that bit of genius! Thanks for the innovations! I got to see a set of your rad guards a couple weeks ago while spectating an enduro in NY state. If I didn't already have some EXPENSIVE billet guards your design would be my first choice:thumbsup:

I was fortunate to be able to try these out early and I can tell you they are very well made and make changing the oil a breeze. If you do your own oil changes, which I believe most here do you need to pick up a set. If you don't then do your shop a favor and make it easier for them too. :)

Great job 7602 Racing
I'll go with this.. just installed a set in my bike. Will not wait so long for the next oil change ;)

I think objective number one to this is ride more so you get to that next oil change sooner. :D

thread revival ... does the front bolt come with a new washer and new o-ring, or does it require using the old?

Yes, the front bolt comes with a new copper washer and O ring installed.

thank you ... did an oil change yesterday and the o ring on the front left side oil screen needs to be replaced, thought it might be a good time to consider your product as the 3 tool approach to an oil change is getting a bit old!

The magnetic drain plug is out of stock at the moment, but we should have them back from anodizers in the next few days.
