• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi guys,

Just purchased a 630 and looking to get started undertaking the necessary works.

In my head i'm thinking the PU, exhaust and a Powercommander.

Do I have any friends here from Scotland or the UK with words of wisdom and ideas where to get these things done ?

Where in Scotland?? Is there a Husky dealer anywhere around where you are? The Power Commader is a more expensive and complicated alternative to JD Jetting
http://www.jdjetting.com
Suppose you can get the kit for the 630 somewhere in the UK. All you need for the p/u is the plug (e-bay). All the good ideas and help when needed are here on this Forum (haven´t been able to find it anywhere else).

The zorst still seems to be a matter of opinion, whether to adopt a single or stay double.

Main thing is to double the number of oil changes compared with standard street bikes (I do every 2000 kms).

Have fun! `Tis a grand bike.

I am looking for the PU and twin arrows but having a spot of bother trying to find the bloody things !

The only reason I was going with power commander is there are a few installation specialists nearby. Is the JD easy to find in the uk and more importantly set up ?

If like me, your order will probably get stuck in customs.

I only found out after the guy from JD let me know that it was held at Gatwick
The tracking number JD Send you will work on the Royal Mail site, It then gets changed over to another number that you can then track with Parcel Force.

Think the import was about £40 of Customs charges.

If anyone is ordering an EHS filter from the states maybe we could organise a group buy ?
I am yet to modify the airbox on my 610.

I have ordered my EHS Fillter should be here soon. Not going to fit it till after xmas, when i shall buy a JD to.Bit worring that though if it gets stopped at customs.Wasnt banking on import costs

Yeah well its just Import duty as you don't pay the Tax on the US Products.

Bit of a stitch up but not much you can do :( Maybe someone on here would buy it from JD and ship it over as a 'gift'.
That way customs wouldn't know the value of the item.

How much did it work out for the filter for you and where did you get it from ?

Thanks
Gav

Send CH member Motosportz a PM. They sell the JD tuner, among other fine Husky farkles. I am sure he/they will do you good.

Gav £55 i think posted.From EHS Racing.

The only thing you HAVE to do is the p/u plug. All the rest is pure luxury.
Next on the list is the jd tuner.
The EHS filter http://wwm.ehsracing.com entails removing the obstructions from the air filter lid and cutting the hole for the filter frame. I made the mistake of lining up the frame with the top of the box. Looks better if it´s parallel with the ground. You don´t need the double frame for the filter. And you have to get button head screws locally (they screws they send you are a bit too obstrusive).

Some people have used the Leo Vince single zorst kit but the Arrow double kit is street legal here (it´s stamped with the necessary text) and it come with the black box.

I'm not over the moon at having to fork out £950 on the arrows and the ecu....

I take it the plug can be had for much cheaper....... Fleabay ?

The plug has been seen on the Bay. But I got mine from a local Husky dealer (the older 610 seems to have the same p/u plug part number). Some even make their own (which I can´t). The tanks has to come off to instal the plug. Don´t think the Arrows or the de Vinci cans make all that difference to power, but both are quite a bit lighter.

No I wasn't either and wasn't impressed with my bike.but now I have got the p/u,it has transformed it.the pipes you could leave but I would de-cat them.should save you a small fortune doing it that way.I'm pleased with mine now,but Jd is next.hope Santa brings me one.
