• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

New Owner - Quick Question

Husqvarna
Hey guys how's it going. Well looks like i'm joing the club. I've just sold my KTM Super Enduro R and have down payment on a 2011 te630 which I collect next weekend hopefully. So i'm sure this will be the first of many questions but initially i'm looking to reduce weight so looking at a 2-1 exhaust. Can anyone tell me if the FMF Powercore 4 can for around $450 a 2-1 set up?
Thanks in advance guys.

Sorry no help here.............. but you sold the SER? What a shame....... I find that the perfect companion to my TE610.

I did, the SE R is sold new owner picks her up tomorrow. Hey thats the it goes, time for something different. Pick up the 630 next weekend.

The TE 630 specific Powercore 4 comes with a mid pipe to replace the stock 1-2 split. So yes is the answer.

Just did a Grand Canyon north rim trip with 9 other guys last month, 3 SE's and a 990 in the group. I had no trouble keeping up on the fast sections and just stomped them in the tighter 2-track. The husky rails.

About the third day one of the older guys on a SE told me he thought I had the right bike for this kind of trip. He was clapped out, exhausted, and done with riding anymore dirt for the trip.

Dropping a hundred pounds for offroad sure helps. I think you'll like the TE. Lightening further on it gets biggest gains by replacing the stock cans and the battery (Shorai). That's about 20lbs, albiet at a cost of almost $100 per pound. Well, maybe not quite, but close. :D

If you're going to really hardcore ride the bike offroad you'll probably want to have the suspension setup.

I have left mine pretty stock in all of these areas, just adding protection and the ability to haul gear for camping off the bike. I use mine more as an adventure bike as opposed to a dirtbike/dualsport. It certainly works great for that.

Thanks guys, really appreciate the repies. Glad to hear that CJ, I loved the SE but although the lightest of the big bikes it still is a monster. I did love the power though, but to be honest I think the 630 will be more usable and I can't wait for the lighter feel.
