• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

New motoz tires ROCK****************************************

I finally got around to installing the tires tonight. The front went on like warm butter, but the rear was a pain in my rear. It was a hassle to get on with stubby irons, for sure.

Those tires are beefy though. I dont think I've ever seen a more aggressive looking tire and I've heard they perform better than they look. I'll find out Jan 1 :thumbsup:

I've had no issues installing them. Lots of WD40 always works. Run them lower pressures than you normally would. 6-8 rear and 7-9 front. :thumbsup:

To say those tires rock would be an understatement. They got put to the test yesterday in some of the worst possible muddy conditions and passed with flying colors.

I finished ahead of more than one EX rider with studded tires. I honestly never felt at a disadvantage except for the slimy log crossings, which nothing short of a studded tire would help with. Those Enduro ST's are superb foul weather tires :notworthy:

Cant wait to try them in sane-wet conditions.
 
Testing continues. I am running the Enduro S/T and it is now for sure my favorite tire ever for slick mud, clay, rocks, and hills. I felt hero yesterday on them in an area that can be a changeling with big slick long hill climbs. I was hooking up like CRAZY. Front and rear were amazing and i could choose any line I wanted. Buddy Adam on the WR250 in the vis is running the Terrapactor and says the same thing, "ridiculous hook up. Two buddys with us, KX250 with dunlops and KTM 300 with a trails tire were bitching all day about how slick it was, Adam and i would look at each other and smile as we were getting crazy traction. I had to use my clutch to keep the front end down on the big slick hills. Adam is running a Enduro IT front that has 1300 miles on it and look like it has 200. Insane. :thumbsup:

BTW we are running low pressures, about 8 front and 6 rear. No flats in MANY miles. Also running the Motoz tubes.

Do they make the enduro S/T in a 19?

I ran my tracula at about 1psi for a whole day and still no flat....but holy it hooked up.

No but the Terrapactor is avalible in a 19 and real close to the Enduro S/T performance wise.

Ok thanks...ya 1 psi maybe 0....when i got home i filled it up and black mud water oozed out of the spokes. :thumbsup:
 
Get a set of Tubliss and 0 is completely doable. I was running 8 and 6 in the desert rocks(sharp #@#%@$@!^@#$ edges) and probably should have gone less as I didn't even sniff any rim damage with some pretty hard hits on sharp edges. I love the terrapactors.

Much, much better than the stock Bridegstones.
I had the X-Circuit on my old 450, but since these were recommended I thought I'd give 'me a go.
Good enough that two buddies of mine ordered them also!

Glad you guy are liking them. :thumbsup: Thats actually saying a lot because i believe those KTMs come with the nice Bridgstones. M59 front used to be one of my favorites before i discovered the Motoz.
 
need a good set for new jersey area,no rocks but sand and loamy trails,any suggestions
also need a good set for the New England very rocky terrain/mud areas

Loamy and dirt get the Enduro ST, Rocks and dirt get the Tracula as it holds up really well to that stuff and still works great.

Curious, how are they on bare rock/granite? As in zero dirt, just a huge bolder.

Most tires will hook up on that no? Trials tires would be the best in that situation but I'm sure a Tracula, X-cir or HT would all work well there too.

Most tires? I don't recall how many knobbies I've had or which brand, but the trials tires seem to be the best that I have tried for those conditions. But I am constantly learning.

I'll try to snag a ride on a bike with one of these tires being discussed then I can talk more intelligently. On the other hand my local riding area might be closed so riding on bare rock may not be a concern anymore :censored:
 
So I mounted up my 130x90 Tracula for my WR360 yesterday with the tubliss. At 6 psi it is a ROTOTILLER. :eek: The county road out front is a nice, wet, compacted gravel and getting on the gas through the gears left 200 yards of 4" deep rut. I don't think I ever want to be riding behind that bike now. :lol:

I have the Terrapactor S/Ts on my 09 TXC 510 and nobody follows me very close. I have a friend with a KTM 4 wheeler that thought he was cute throwing chunks at us on a MX track one day. Well I gave him some huge payback with the 510 and the Terra's. He now plays nicer and stays clear of me LOL. Thanks K. Hey K how do the MX tires work? My son wants some for his 2010 TC250.
 
I'll be picking up a new rear tire soon for my TE510.
Do you guys think I should go with a D606 or one of the H/T's?
I'll be riding a combo of asphalt, gravel, and dirt/ mud/roots/rocks. (Ginger Creek, Eastern OR stuff, etc.)
 
Man, that S/T 18" is the bomb! Tahuya last Saturday in very wet conditions, it hooked up nicely! Yesterday in damp loamy trail and sandy pit type riding, it hooked up and was very trustworthy. Running at 5 psi on Tubliss. Am now thinking about dropping psi to see what happens.
