• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

New Husqvarna Factory Building

Photos of the new Husqvarna factory building in Cassinetta Di Biandronno. Although it still looks like a lot of work needs to be done the guys at the factory are confident they will be moving in soon. An expensive project for BMW (rumoured €30m!) the new building will house the R&D facility also which has temperature and humidity controlled testing cells as well as extensive office facilities.

I am extremely impressed with the building and how fast things are progressing with it, that must have been a really aggressive schedule. I'm not quite they will be moving in this month though based on the pictures.

Wow...very nice! What, no testing track outside? :excuseme::lol:

They are high tech! It looks like the test track is on the inside! :D

Is the guy standing outside talking on a phone or having a smoke? If it is like most Europeans I have met it will be the latter....

Very Nice...:D

Things can only get better from here on in.

Couple of years from now this will all be but a story...remember back in 2009 when they first opened the new factory and we couldn't even get parts.....

Silly, that's a computer-generated model of Scot Harden taking a break from a meeting to call Coffee and tell him he's got everything under control and to tell the CafeHusky pessimists to put a compress on our bleeding hearts.

Thank you very much for posting that. While I found some of the text confusing, it seems the plants total size is about 8 American football fields.
