  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

FE/FC New Husky's $$$$

Wonder if they changed the EFI on the husky 350's at all? I ride with 2 guys with KTM 350's in the woods all the time. I nicknamed them the stallmaster 350. Those guys sure flame out a lot.

And I wonder if they fixed the starter? I ride with a KTM 350 XCF and he's cranked his way thru 2 batteries in one year. That cold start lever on the TE's works wonders.. Just saying

One of the things Dirt Bike magazine mentioned with the FE350 is how it's almost impossible to stall. No clue if there's changes to just the FE or all 2014 350's

Maybe true in socal Dez but in tight gnarly woods it is all different. I crack up when I see them talk about tighter woods and there is a picture with a few manzanita bushes. On the other hand maybe they fixed it.

They said its California green sticker legal which I figured meant it was choked up like a dual sport and then they said it doesn't stall. Who knows lol

i dont know anything about the new 350s. I still really want to find a deal on a te310r. I have been lusting after one of those for my small bike for a while now.

I don't know I have a 2014 KTM 350EXC-F and I've never stalled it and it's hardly wide open here in the South Jersey woods where we ride and a buddy has 2013 350XCF and his runs flawless as well....You guys have no idea how good you're gonna have it with the new for 2014 platform for Husky!

I don't have the money for a new husky let alone a new ktm. I don't consider a mark up anything "good" when inn already struggling.

I bought a husky for a few reasons: 1)they were $1000 cheaper than the ktm and $2000 cheaper than a husaberg.
2) street legal, & 3) you get the best of two worlds, German engineering & Italian design:)
Those Italians definitely have a flair for design, and those Germans know a thing or two about mechanical engineering. In my humble opinion the new husky's are a bit on the generic side, fine machines but lack that originality.
I say if you can get a red & white - pick it up:) especially considering the current prices:)
