• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

New Husky rider for Enduro and WORCS!

Joe Chod

Husqvarna
Pro Class
Jamie Lanza signed a contract with Husqvarna Zip-Ty to ride the WORCS and endurocross series. Tough as nails vertically challenged rider who never quits. I enjoy watching him and Wally Palmer dice back and forth in the Endurocross qualifiers. Best of luck to him. It will just be odd when he and Graffunder are in the same photo!

That is an amazing piece of news, I never would have guessed that was coming.

Sounds great!

Jamie is one heck of a good racer PLUS a Southern Calif Racer .Now lets see what he will ride Lets hope it is a 2 stroke

Now it is posted over on the Dist 37 off road sight that .Ex factory KTM top National
Hare and Hound racer David Kamo will also be on a Zip Ty Husky
2011 sure is looking great for husky

David is a super nice guy and supremely fast. He's got the #2 plate this year. I wonder what he'll be riding?

Seems to me that the new 449/511 would be the logical choice, but if they aren't here yet there won't be hardly any time for testing/setup before the first race. What's the word on the street?

Time will tell and in just 3 weeks we will all see at the first National

I can not wait weather is nice the dirt is wet and the bikes are ready
come on bring on the Nationals

Word on the street is Zip Ty got the new bike(s) 6 weeks ago and is shopping around for better rear suspension options, making parts, etc. etc. 4 strokes.

Nuff said about that.

Lanza is a real coup for Husky out west.

Dont forget he won the BITD Baja 300 a few years ago. Lanza/Davis/Burson/Kamo on a TC511 with a 3-5 year program could win the Baja 1000. BITD series. Then the Dakar Rally.

If i owned Husky thats exactly what i would do. If Ty is tired of tacos, let the youngsters at it. But its got to be multi-year effort, not the winging it start stop that KTM does in Mexico.

oh man im getting sucked into the internet again.

Out of respect to Ty Davis and his race team, did you ask him if it was ok to post this?

If I were in Ty's position, I would not want things like this on a public forum.

Did anyone ask Jamie Lanza if its ok to post his situation?

Did anyone ask Kamo if its ok to post about him?

Has there been a press release yet? Dont think so.

Ty Davis is a public figure in our sport. As such i dont see any reason why anyone cant discuss his teams success, development, and failures.

I see speculation and all kinds of inaccurate info about the guy on here all the time.

Ive also seen all kinds of inaccurate information about me on here. Nobody ever asked me if it was ok.

Sorry Coffee. I just dont see it. Feels like a double standard.

What do you have against me?

Why take this to the streets? You want me to not post something for gods sake PM me. Dont capture it. Now i cant even edit my post.

Adios amigos. I tried.

I agree.

If you ever notice When i post some thing i either post that it was posted over on another sight and i am just repeating something i already saw or heard .
Or that i personally saw or had permission to repeat what i saw or was told .
If it is a rumor i will state that .As for the new 449 that i rode back in the first part of Oct 2010 it was stock .Ty is working on many aftermarket parts to custom taylor the bike to different needs .That is what he does every bike has had something special that his company has made in hopes of making the bike better for the different types of ridding we all do .If i ever get another test ride and get permission to state what i
has been done to the bike i will .
