• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

New Husky Racer on Cebu

Disclaimer: Local Cebu News only

I attended another small race here on Cebu Friday and found out one of my friends' 15 yr old sons' older KX 250cc bike went belly up ..

So, we let him have a couple practice laps on my 08 WR250 before the actual racing and he did well. well as like he had been riding the bike forever ... Race time, he did well again, getting holeshots, winning some classes and finishing 2nd in a couple others and just racing well all day ...

Not sure what the future holds, but this 15 yr old guy is fast ... He's welcome to my Huskies from now till I run out of bikes ... He's in a good home environment for progressing as a MX rider and it is easy to say he should get better in the coming years.

It was a great time seeing this young man riding the bike and having such a good time ...

He's got a 16 yr old sister who races well here also. She is one of just a few girl racers here and gets some attention at the races from some of the younger fans on some occasions... She might end up on one of my bikes (250 2t) also ...

That's her in the red getting her picture taken with some of the young fans here.

And there is one other 20 yr old young racer guy here also ... He might get on one of my 4t 250 bikes in the future also ... I should add, all these races are for cash $$...We have a good time each race day and having a little something in your pocket after the race is a good thing ...
