• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

New Husky intake system nearly ready for release....

We have been working with V Force, to create a new intake system for the 250 and 500 primary kick Huskys. We have had the reed blocks ready for some time now, but without the correct intake between the reeds and carb. One of the milling machines is now free to finish these, and they will be available fairly soon...

what kinds of gains can be seen with these? bottom, top, all around? i swapped in a fresh set of boyesens a few times but never a setup like v-force..

these look like the Uptight pieces from some time back
I have them and they do work great

Not sure on the price yet. Need to get them finished and anodised - then we can work out what they cost...

is it just me or is the hole through the reed block tiny ? its like 1/4 the size of the reed block . and as a square it looks smaller than a 38 mm carb let alone the 44 .

86400xc, can you purchase just the reeds like you have to fit the oem husky alum manifold like you have?

We will sell just the reed block assemblies, but without a matching manifold - you will not get the full benefit, as the standard Husky manifold is the wrong shape to match it. Replacement reeds will also be available, but they do not fit the standard Husky reed block.

The intake volume is for the 38mm carb as shown in the first pics. We will do a 40 / 44mm version of this in due course and also the Evo manifolds...

I will see if Steve Tassanari (V Force) will let me post you the pic he sent me of his HVA-Factory 300...

Yes they are available for air cooled and water cooled bikes and are a direct replacement.
Just saw them for sale at huskydoggg.com a few days ago.

where did you see these on the site???
looked around and did not find them

What about adding a 3/16" to 1/4" square spacer under the reed block between the engine reed housing?
This allows more room for the flow from the reeds and transfer ports. I made these spacers for the late 70's and 80's husqvarna engines and the kdx 200/220 & the Honda 125. This spacer performs in every bike.
