Hi,
I wanted to introduce myself and get to know some of you on this forum.
I just picked up a leftover 09 610 yesterday.
I live near some fantastic trails and forest service roads but my riding will probably be about 50/50.
Most of my friends have KLR's but I wanted something a little lighter and more powerful but still able to hang with them on the road.
I think I made the right choice. (nearly bought a KTM EXC 525 but after a test on the street I decided to get the Husky)
My elevation is from 6000ft to 11 or 12000 ASL so my bike is down on power quite a bit.
I ordered a LV slip and the lambda removal kit but I'm not sure how those things will work without some adjustments to the ECU.
I pulled the kickstand off and will try to find a machine shop to modify it for me.
I hate the separate key for the fuel tank!
I'll need to find some secure way to stow it on the bike.
(I don't want it flopping around on a key chain in the ignition)
Anyway - hope to get to know some of you and learn more about this fantastic bike
