• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I think we'll peruse Mikuni's site and see if we can't find a needle with more taper.

Well, ixnay on a needle for the Mikuni. I just got off the phone with Sudco and they can't get any needles for the new TMX carbs.

There is a reason we are all going that route. BTW the Yamaha 125 uses the same carb i believe.

The `10 YZ125 has the exact same Mikuni as the WR.

I already have the same carb everyone is buying...a PWK 38. I'd rather not buy another carb, but I wouldn't mind getting the slide and needle if someone would tell me what is in it.

Your a SJ native ! No way.....me too, I was hatched / I mean born at San Jose hospital (no longer exists). Then raised in beautiful east SJ (right near Story & White) on Paddington way. Back when there were orchards and fields etc... Used to get in trouble riding at Ricketys, Elks Club, Dry Creek Rd or anywhere we could find a Walnut/Cherry orchard.
Ah....the good old days
Anyways, I love working on bikes especially Huskys, I'm sure I would have had a great day. Remember, I'm old so I can only ride for about 1-2 hours and I'm pretty much toast ! But I can bench race for hours
Maybe next time !

Thanks, Jerry! It would have been great to meet you, but you probably would have been bored out of your mind. One can only watch so many jetting changes, ya know? We spent a lot of time sitting around talking and playing with springs and jets and stuff, and not near enough time riding :)

BTW, I was born and raised in lower east side SJ

Yup, San Jose Hospital, here  I was near the other end of Story, off of King Road sorta near Tully...Lowrider Central in the 70's! We still own my mom's house there, she bought it in 1961. I used to ride horses through the apricot orchards with my friends. I went to a lot of San Jose Bees games, too.

Go Overfelt Royals!

wr sighting!

cools pics dean-o.

Yep! Forgot to say "thanks" for posting them up

Speaking of WR sightings, while I was goofing around on this little track-like thing in the trees last Sunday, I saw another Husky WR coming towards me. I just assumed it was jsleeper coming to join us so I figured I'd do another lap and then come on over to say "hi" and introduce everyone. We ended up passing each other on the track and then the rider disappeared. Eric said it was a 300. Anyone know who it might have been?
