• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

new gearing for my Terra

RockinRod

Husqvarna
AA Class
Hey Guys,
I've been wanting to re gear my Terra, for better off road going...Had checked several places trying to find c/s and rear sprockets....I found some at a tourtecnical site....had some offerings but the reviews weren't positive at all...
The site with the fancy rear sprocket didn't have the combo I was interested in....I finally found Sprocketcenter.com , Spoke with Chad there and they had the hookup I've opted for a 49 rear and a 15 front
got a DID X ring chain and the whole kit and caboodle was a mere $150 shipped to my house...They even included an extra master link....Cheers to them for real quik knowledgeable service....parts all shrink wrapped together and boxed up tight.....No I don't work for them but they had everything I wanted were able to give me good input and had it to me USPS Priority mail...I'll try to upload a pic later

I went 15/45 to slightly lower my gearing by 2.4%. Happy with the result as my highway cruising speed will increase slightly to 4,600rev/min.

I have run my Strada on 15/49 for the past 8k km and for me it is the perfect gearing for roads here in Philippines. Fuel economy is not really affected because the speeds are around 80-100 kmph but roads are twisty and it enables me to remain in higher gears longer. Max speed is around 160 kmph, which is quite fast enough.
I have a JT Front 15 and a Supersprox Rear 49 with a Renthall X Ring chain - it is a good set up.mini-IMG_1872.JPG
