• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Just Gas Tanks are not the manufacturer they are just a retailer. Try these guys

Aqualine makes Safari tanks in Australia. They began work on a larger tank for the TE-610 in 2008. When the TE-630 was announced, they halted development and waited for a sample bike. They are now working on a common tank to fit both bikes. Expected capacity is 25L. The source for this information is several threads on ADVRider.com, where inmates have been corresponding with Aqualine since 2009, and who have received email confirmation of this information from the manufacturer. Cheers!

Well lets see, they worked on the 610 tank for two years. Then halted when the 630 was announced. Maybe if they get real motivated we can expect a completed dual purpose design in 2012, unless another new model is announced?

I sent my share of emails requesting the progress on the 610 tank.

tank is ready....nearly

Safari tanks emailed me a pic of a 630 with their new 25 litre tank on it. Not sure how to post pics but if someone wants me to email it to them so they can load it, no probs. They confirmed it should be for sale prior to xmas this year.

Here's the new TE630 fuel tank from Safari Tanks. Apparently it fits the TE610 also.

Because we are starting to get a large number of threads about the Safari tanks, I merged 2 of them. Otherwise it will get extremely confusing, especially months/years from now when people are trying to find information.

I just spoke to Robyn at Safari...he said they were waiting on a cross brace and they would be good to to...approx 2 weeks

That is an image of a Translucent/clear tank.
Solid white will probably be an option and better if you want to fit your own decals to it, the solid red looks a bit overpowering to me (jmho)
You cant beat clear for seeing how much fuel you have left though...
