• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

New 3 Gallon Tank for the 449/511

ajaxauto

Husqvarna
Pro Class
The other day I was up at Zip Ty Racing and saw a Big 3 gallon tank that fits the 449/511.
It is a extra tank that works along with the stock tank.So with both tanks filled you would now have a total of 5.5 Gallons. That should be enought for any dual Sporter or Adventure rider out there.
Here are a few pictures I took.for more info contact Zip Ty Racing 760 244 7028

I dont think my arse could handle that much time in the saddle of my 449!

Very cool though, it looks nice too!

While that is way overkill for my needs that pretty sleek looking for packing 5.5 gallons****************************************

Here we go again. You 449/511 guys seem to be a little sensitive I'd say.:)

We are very sensitive .....and thoughtful and intelligent and otherwise all around wonderful folks:oldman:

I havent done any street time to see what I think of the gearing, but I have no intention of riding it more than an hour of so on the street, and never on the freeway. If I wanted to do that I would have kept the Buell.

What range does the 450/511 have stock? I keep going back and forth on a 511 or 650 as my next bike.I want something that 100 +mile days are doable.

65-90 miles depending on terrain, rider, conditions and state of tune. 90-120 with the nomad add-on tank.
