  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

New to the forum so wanted to show what I have done so far. Start it off with custom Sliders and spacers with beveled adapter to Skate wheel.

Replaced seat with Seat Concepts version with red stitch, some pin stripe on the tail piece too. Arrow Carbon pipe with Full wrap and crash protection.

Deleted All crappy plastic protection from bike save for the center cores for the swing arm bearings. AIS delete, auto kickstand delete.

40 tooth sprocket conversion and wheel graphic

Actual Red Bull catch can with fitting for air-box drainage.

Various Graphic changes, bar-ends replaced with LSL version and CRG mirror, Bridgestone S20s,

The arrow exhaust is very nice. I have the slip-on and full Ti as well. Very good price, well made and does the job on the power side for my use anyway.

What are you thoughts on going to a 40t sprocket I am thinking on doing the same as also running smr set up. Thanks

For me the 40t changed everything, I am a road racer type rider not into stunts or offroad. The top end before was realistically around 80-90 and that was gagging it??? I was needing a smoother lower rpm experience between 80-100 so the 40 is PERFECT! Still wheelies too!

Im curious how quick youre filling that red bull can with oil with extended revvs on the road. Did I miss it or did you install the Zip Ty breather elbow and/or a breather catch can? How much oil are you running in the engine?
I like the rim decals and exhaust is killer!

I run a 41T for street duties on my SMR could do better with a 14T on the front.
Does help quite a bit with them Highway speeds.

Nice ride bud.

A Monster Energy can would be the cure all lol

Can you explain me why do you use this.
I new to SM, and I have a smr511. think this is to drain the oil who goes to air-box filter?
Normally people use these cans as a coolant overflow but I guess he's using it for oil. The oil blows into the air filter. Some people it's a lot of oil. Zip-Ty racing makes a kit so it doesn't happen. There is also a ton written in Zip-Ty's portion of the forum that explains it. If I tried, I'd probably tell you wrong. I know some people solve it by putting in less oil which can cause other issues. Also, at the top of the 4 stroke section there is a 449/511 section that links you to this issue and everything you would ever want to know about it

Interesting.....

I would put the frame guards back on or in a year you will have no paint on that area.... Seriously, those plastics are very good design! I wish all my bikes had plastic guards on the frame and covers!
