  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

New 2013 TC250

I recently crashed Bill's (BMP) Christmas party by phone to purchase a new 2013 Husky TC250 for my son as a surprise Christmas present. It was my first purchase from Bil'sl with me being in VA over 2,990 miles away. The transaction was easy and quick. I thought I had waited to long to get the bike shipped across the country but Bill assured me it would get hear before Christmas. He was right, the bike arrived on the 20th of Dec. Packaging from Bill's was awesome; 0 bike damage :applause:. He even threw in a qt of oil, new spark plug, and posters! He has since did follow ups which is a first from a bike shop for me. If anyone is even thinking about picking up a Husky I strongly suggest giving Bill's a call. Thanks Bill . BTW the 2013 TC250 was a big hit as my son loves the bike.

Congratulations on the purchase! I concur that BMP is a great place to buy from. I drove to pick up mine but it's nice to hear his shipping service is as top notch as the rest of his process.

Thanks GreenDew. I'm kinda glad I don't live to close to Bill's or I might be broke; but happy.

I had to send my son on a made up service call on the 20th so I could pick the bike up at a loading dock, un-crate, and hide it at my house. Christmas day after most of the presents had been opened I asked my son to help me bring in something from the side porch. I had his bike under a painters tarp and when he removed the tarp he said "holy crap who's bike"! I said it's yours what do you think? He was totally shocked, couldn't believe it, but very happy. After his first big ride last weekend he is even happier with just how good the bike is. He's 32 now and has worked for me for the past 12 years so a new bike seemed like the thing Santa should do :D. The 2010 TC250 I have is a very good bike the 2013 he has is the Indy version of it.

I figured that you had something up your sleeve .

Have fun and enjoy it. Last of the Italian good ones .

I have the 13 Txc 310 and I am not giving it up anytime soon. That's how well I like it.

I might get the whole computer tuner and dashboard some day and a pipe?

I know some of the Halls guys run them TC's with the Get set up and pipe. Those things fly!

Yeah I'm pretty sure my son will pick up the GET thing. Looking at their web site it makes the biggest improvement on the TC by far; huge gains :applause: . BMP did remove the SA and we ground out the flaps in the stock exhaust and the bike runs really good now. LOL my buddy that rode it just called and said he can't stop thinking about it.
