• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

New 1984 Husky gas tank?

Husqvarna
AA Class
I know it might be impossible, but does anybody have a new oem white Husky plastic tank 3.3 gallon ? Thanks

I'm not sure about the plastic tanks but George @ Uptite has a bunch of old tanks setting around. They are nearly all metal but he may have others hidden away.

He won't be back in the shop till 7/15 or 16. Call 1 714 540 2920. He's been in business since the 70's.

This page doesn't have the size you're asking about but they have some plastic tanks for 84's.

Thanks, George might have one. The one on Husky parts is too big-4.3 gallons for mx.

Hey Frog budy of mine had '84 500CR and put a '83 250CR tank on it as said he could move around much better than with the plastic oem and it looked much better, that and a pristine '84 tank is next to impossible to find.

I have a mint 1983 tank no dings/dents,just need paint or go with a new 1983 plastic version with MXM 1983 with perferated holes[special order]. The more I think about it,the 1984 3.3 gallon is kinda of wide. The one on my 1984 XC250 is painted and holding up well. There's a guy on E-bay that seals the inside[tanker-rite] and paints the outside, solves all problems -white yellowing and decals bubbling. Did Husky make a smaller gallon version 1984 style for 125/250CR? Thanks Frog
