• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

New 150 Honda

This is what honda recently started selling here.... This would be a step down in size and price from the 250cc honda (CRF?) I see here now also .. There might be a XR 125cc new honda also ... The 200 XR ruled this place for yrs ... Either the new yamahas pushed honda to the new machines OR just part of the company cycle of releasing new type bikes along a well defined management strategy of releasing products.

Looks like it has low seat and the rims are not the standard most of us are used to seeing on our bikes. Disc on front but the rear .. Standard stuff here to keep the cost down ... I actually sat on this bike and it was not too bad as it did not feel too cramped on my legs or arms ...

Here's the bike on a very rough, newly graded road ... This is a new rider as you can tell by his attire ... His feet come off the pegs a few times ... He might have been feeling the Husky pressure ... I told this guy that his bike will go everywhere on the island my Huskies will go, just not as fast in most cases ..

Here's a little street riding ... I'll admit he was giving my 010 TC250 Husky some issues on the top-end side ... But I knew the road and where a ugly, twisty, steep uphill climb was at .... So I managed to catch up and pulled the inside line starting up the hill ... The rest is Husqvarna history ..

It's probably is a clone to a 150 and back to a 125cc ... Either way, I'm not sure what the 25cc difference in engine performance would really be ... And I did see a 125cc decal on a bike that was probably the same as the 150cc.

This is raw video.. The shorts my friend is riding in says lots ... We both were having a good time and the video shows the limits of the bike. But overall, these bikes fit and work well here. My buddy is in the attack position on the honda ... He was killiingn me ...

He's a stud rider really and represents his country well.
