• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Neken sfs vs flexx bars vs Twisted e composi bars

HuskyMax

Husqvarna
AA Class
Has anyone tried the Neken SFS triple yet and if so was it comparable to flexx bars or any other alternative. Looking to maybe try some but don't want to plop down that much cash if they are all hype. I like the idea of pretty much infinite adjustability with one setup.

I've heard good things about flexx bars but I like my bar bend and setup and don't really want to change that and I like to run my levers down quite a bit more than they allow.
The composi bars look promising other that the price and you need their handguard setup if you want to run them and with the different flex options how do you know which one to buy and they are spendy for just bars.

Don't know about the rest but flexx bars are a huge improvement. I really thought it was just a waste of money until a rode a friends bike with them. The cost is high but it's really worth it

and EZ to move from bike to bike to bike so you dont have to rebuy.

Do you think becuase of the flex that they hold up better in a crash? Seems like you hear good things about the durability of these things which would be a consideration becuase of the price.

I felt a set at my local dealer a couple days ago and their also pretty heavy. Looked very well made, just heavy.

I use flex bars, I don't feel these anymore.

I've used Flexx Bars for 10 years and they work. My biggest reality check on how well they work, was 2 years ago.... My avatar pic is me racing my '82 250WR at Unadilla AHRMA National XC. It was my first time racing the '82 in a long time and it didn't have Flexx Bars. After the race my hands and wrists were sore in a way, that I hadn't experienced since switching to Flexx Bars on my other bikes. It will have them before I race it again.

Actually it is hard to get parts for them after a crash because you can't buy them.

In 10 years I've crashed more than a few times and haven't wrecked a set yet. Original pair is still in service, on a friend's bike. They won't sell parts due to liability issues, but do offer a reduced price replacement for crash damaged bars.

Come on steel frame......rubber mount sub mount.......composite subframe......works for me.....looked at flex bars before....would have to try them to really know....but if it helps extend your enjoyment of and awesome sport then really what's 300$???

Ah just buy them. With the way you go through bikes the flexx bars are the only investment because you can keep them :)
