  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Need Help With Frame To Airbox Blow By Tube Routing - 2014 Te310

jmardy

Husqvarna
AA Class
I pulled my tank for the first time today and noticed the blow-by line from the frame near the steering head is connected to nothing.
Parts fiche shows it connected to the airbox (see attached) but my airbox has no such port.
The bike was "de-restricted" by the previous owner's dealer but I can't believe they'd replace the airbox.
Did they just let this dangle?
Where should it go?
Thanks guys.

The port in the airbox is hidden under the frame beam and It was certainly plugged (I hope for you) by the previus owner. You should see it by looking to the airbox by the right side of the bike. The blow by line is the oil vapors recirculation to the airbox. You could leave it discharge in atmosphere (like in the tc 250) but If it was mine I would replug it (like i did on my 310) or at least mount an oil breather filter to it so dirt wont'be sucked up the line

Thanks. I must be blind. I'll have to take the air filter out and look from that side (I didn't take the take off again yet).
I wonder if I have the original connector boot. Mine apparently has the airbox connector from a TC250, is that why I can't find the port? It's this one:
https://www.ktmpartspro.com/oemparts/partsearch/husqvarna?partsearch=8000h6492
Also the TC 250 should have the hole in which the oil vapors recirculation hose should plug with the 800091586 union. In the tc that hole is plugged with 8000H3569 plug. Yes your intake rubber the TC one
